Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 1, 2026
Last updated: October 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Mr. Business Consulting, LLC ("I," "me," "my," or "Chip Crutchfield Franchise Consultant") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit www.chipcrutchfield.com (the "Site"), fill out a form, book a call, respond to one of my ads, or otherwise contact me.
I'm a franchise consultant. I help people who are thinking about business ownership find franchise opportunities that fit their goals, skills, lifestyle, and budget. My services are free to you because franchisors pay my fee. Even so, I do not share your information with franchisors, lenders, or any consulting network. If you decide to explore a franchise, you choose whether and when to contact that franchisor yourself.
If you have questions, email me at chip@chipcrutchfield.com.
1. Information I collect
Information you give me
When you fill out a form on the Site (for example, the free franchise call form, the contact form, or the newsletter sign-up), book a call, or submit a lead form in one of my Facebook or Instagram ads, I may collect:
-
Contact details: first name, last name, email address, and phone number
-
Location: city and state
-
Your answers about your goals: for example, how I can help you and when you want to be in business
-
Anything you choose to tell me: for example, in free-text message boxes
-
Communication preferences: whether you opted in to my newsletter or to text messages
If you book a call or talk with me by phone, video, or email, I may also collect information you choose to share, such as your professional background, business interests, investment range, available capital, and timeline.
Please don't send sensitive information (such as Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, or health information) through the Site's forms.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, some information is collected automatically by my website platform and by advertising tools, including:
-
IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system
-
Pages you view, links you click, how you arrived at the Site (for example, from a Facebook, Instagram, or Google ad), and the date and time of your visit
-
Cookie identifiers, pixel and tag data, and similar technologies (see Section 4)
Information from Meta lead forms
Some of my Facebook and Instagram ads use Meta lead forms, which let you send me your information without leaving Facebook or Instagram. If you submit one of these forms, I receive the information you entered (such as your name, email, phone number, and answers to the form's questions) from Meta. I handle that information under this Privacy Policy. Meta's own collection and use of information on its platforms is governed by Meta's Privacy Policy.
Information from ad platforms
Facebook, Instagram, and Google may also tell me that an ad led to a visit, form submission, or booked call. This is generally reported in aggregate.
2. How I use your information
I use your information to:
-
Respond to your inquiry and schedule and hold your free consultation call
-
Understand your goals and recommend franchise opportunities that may fit you
-
Send you my newsletter, if you opted in
-
Follow up with you by email, phone, or text message about your inquiry (see Section 5)
-
Measure and improve my advertising, including showing ads to people who visited the Site and finding similar audiences
-
Operate, secure, and improve the Site
-
Meet legal obligations and protect my rights
3. How I share your information
I do not sell your personal information, and I do not share candidate information with franchisors, lenders, or any franchise consulting network. I share information only as described below.
-
Service providers. I use a small number of companies that help me run my business and process information on my behalf:
-
Wix.com – website hosting and forms
-
Calendly – scheduling your consultation call
-
Brevo – email marketing and text messaging (SMS)
-
-
Advertising partners. The Meta Pixel, Meta Conversions API, and Google Ads tag share information about your activity on the Site (and, for the Conversions API, possibly hashed contact information such as your email or phone number) with Meta and Google so I can measure and target ads. Under some state laws, this may be considered "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising. See Sections 4 and 9 for how to opt out.
-
Legal requirements. I may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect my rights, your safety, or others' safety.
-
Business transfers. If my business is sold, merged, or reorganized, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, and it would remain subject to this policy.
4. Cookies, pixels, and advertising
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are small files stored on your browser. Pixels and tags are small pieces of code that report what happens on a page.
What's in use on this Site:
-
Wix (website platform). Wix sets cookies the Site needs to work, along with cookies for security and basic site statistics. Learn more: https://support.wix.com/en/article/cookies-and-your-wix-site
-
Calendly. The scheduling calendar on the Site is provided by Calendly, which may set its own cookies when it loads. Calendly's Privacy Notice: https://calendly.com/privacy
-
Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API. These tell Meta (Facebook and Instagram) when you visit pages, submit a form, or book a call, so I can measure my ads and show ads to people who visited the Site. The Conversions API sends some of this data directly from the website's server to Meta, not only from your browser. Meta's Privacy Policy: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/
-
Google Ads tag. This tag lets Google measure conversions from my Google ads and may be used for remarketing. Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Your choices:
-
Meta: Change your ad preferences at https://accountscenter.facebook.com/ad_preferences, and manage "Your activity off Meta technologies" in your Facebook or Instagram settings.
-
Google: Turn off personalized ads at https://myadcenter.google.com
-
Industry opt-outs: Digital Advertising Alliance at https://optout.aboutads.info and Network Advertising Initiative at https://optout.networkadvertising.org
-
Browser controls: Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. If you block all cookies, parts of the Site may not work.
-
Opt-out signals: Where required by applicable law, I honor opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC) as a request to opt out of targeted advertising.
Some browsers send "Do Not Track" signals. Because there's no common standard for them, the Site does not respond to them in a specific way.
5. Email and text message communications
If you submit a form or book a call, I may email you about your inquiry. If you opt in to my newsletter, I'll also send it to you. My emails are sent through Brevo. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can email chip@chipcrutchfield.com to be removed. Even after you unsubscribe, I may still send emails about a call you've scheduled.
Text messages (SMS)
-
Consent. If you check the text-message consent box on one of my forms (or otherwise give consent), you agree to receive text messages from Mr. Business Consulting, LLC at the mobile number you provided, including appointment reminders, follow-ups about your inquiry, and information about franchise ownership. Some messages may be sent using automated technology.
-
Consent is not required. Consenting to texts is not a condition of any purchase or of using my services. You can book a call without agreeing to texts.
-
Frequency. Message frequency varies.
-
Cost. Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile carrier plan.
-
Opting out. Reply STOP to any message at any time to stop receiving texts. You'll get one final message confirming you've opted out. You can also email chip@chipcrutchfield.com.
-
Help. Reply HELP for help, or email chip@chipcrutchfield.com.
-
Carriers. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
-
Your mobile information. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except service providers (such as Brevo) that send messages on my behalf.
6. How long I keep your information
I keep your information until you ask me to delete it. To request deletion, email chip@chipcrutchfield.com. Newsletter subscribers and text-message subscribers can also stop receiving messages at any time as described in Section 5. After a deletion request, I may keep some information where the law requires it or where it's needed to resolve disputes or enforce my agreements, and I may keep a record of your opt-out so that I don't contact you again.
7. How I protect your information
The Site is hosted on Wix, which uses encrypted (HTTPS) connections and industry-standard security. I limit access to your information to service providers who need it to perform services for me. No method of sending or storing data online is 100% secure, so I can't guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's privacy
The Site is meant for adults considering business ownership. It isn't directed to children under 18, and I don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given me information, contact me and I'll delete it.
9. Your privacy rights (U.S. state residents)
Depending on where you live (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, and other states with privacy laws), you may have the right to:
-
Know and access the personal information I hold about you
-
Correct inaccurate information
-
Delete your personal information
-
Get a copy of your information in a portable format
-
Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, or its use for targeted advertising
-
Not be treated differently for using these rights
Some of these laws apply only to businesses above certain size or revenue thresholds. Even so, I'll honor reasonable requests from anyone.
How to make a request: Email chip@chipcrutchfield.com with "Privacy Request" in the subject line. I may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request. You may use an authorized agent to make a request for you. If I deny your request, you can appeal by replying to my response with "Appeal" in the subject line.
To opt out of targeted advertising, use the Meta and Google controls in Section 4, turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser, or email me.
California residents. In the past 12 months I have collected these categories of personal information: identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address), internet activity, approximate location (city and state), professional information you choose to share, and inferences about your franchise interests. I collect them for the purposes in Section 2 and disclose them only to the recipients in Section 3. I don't sell personal information. My use of advertising pixels may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising, and you can opt out as described above. I don't knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. I do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
10. Links to other websites
The Site may link to other websites, such as franchisor sites or social media pages. I'm not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies.
11. Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. When I do, I'll change the "Last updated" date at the top. If the changes are significant, I may also give more notice, such as a notice on the Site.
