Meet Chip
I’m Chip Crutchfield, a seasoned franchise consultant and former multi-unit franchise owner based in North Carolina. With extensive hands-on experience in franchising and digital marketing, I’m passionate about helping aspiring business owners across find the right franchise and build a successful operation.
From 2010 to early 2026, my wife Shea and I owned and operated Mosquito Authority and Pest Authority franchises. Starting with a two-unit Mosquito Authority territory, we expanded by adding Pest Authority in 2017 and became a partner for Mosquito Authority in Northern Colorado in 2020. During that time, I served as President of the Franchise Marketing Council and as a long-term member of the Franchise Advisory Board. I’ve experienced every stage of franchising — from buying and scaling to successfully exiting in early 2026.
Before and during my franchising career, I served as Chief Digital Officer for a regional marketing firm with offices in Winston-Salem, NC and Richmond, VA, leading digital teams for over 20 years.
Today, I combine my real-world franchising and marketing expertise to provide honest, unbiased guidance. My goal is simple: help you find the right franchise opportunity that matches your skills and goals, and support you through every step of your journey to successful business ownership.
On a personal note, Shea and I are proud parents of two adult children, Trey (fiancé Julianne) and Spencer. Our son Spencer lives with us and has autism, which has made me a strong advocate for Autism Awareness. We also have two West Highland Terriers, Otis and Riggins.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me cheering on the Carolina Panthers, South Carolina Gamecocks, or Wake Forest Demon Deacons.
